Credit Checks
We will run credit checks for $10.00 if you are a member of the Burlington Apartments Network. $20 for non-members.
Please provide the following:
Note: If any of the information below is missing we cannot run
the credit check
1. Each tenant's full name
2. Each tenant's social security number
3. Each tenant's current or previous mailing address.
We prefer to receive this information via email but will also accept it via fax or mail.
*The tenant must consent to have their credit checked. The easiest
way for this is to have them fill out the rental application on
our homepage, goto rental application
- Have tenant fill out and email the application to you.
- Once you receive their application, forward it to us via email
- They can also print it out and mail/fax it to you.
Why run credit checks?
Credit checks are as important as landlord references. A good
feeling about an applying tenant says nothing about their ability
to pay rent. A credit check will give you a historical record
of your prospective tenant's payment history. If they pay bills
such as their car payment, credit cards and school loans on time
then more then likely they will pay you on time. If they have
difficulty paying these bills promptly then it is a good indication
they may have trouble paying their rent promptly.
We run credit checks on every tenant even if their landlord
references are impeccable. $10.00 is inexpensive insurance
considering an eviction will cost you THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS
in lost rent and attorney's fees.
